Well, once again I totally fail as a blogger. I'm practically no better than the people that just don't blog at all.. Well, I guess I already am one of those people, but no more! Today, I turn over a new leaf in the realm of the interwebz! Korri, the blogger. Let's hope I find stuff to blog about.
Recently I went to see the Dandy Warhols with my mother. The show was really good, music was good, band was good, hanging with Mom was good, everything was good. Well, except the two guys nearby that we could not guess their sexual orientation. We first noticed the duo huggin' and dancin' all up on each other off to our left. I looked at Mom and stated "Oh cute! Look at that gay couple." Only to look over later to find them dancing up on some large chicks they "scored" at the show. Hmm.. Maybe they're not.. oh.. oh.. Did he just give him a peck on the cheek?! What is going on with these guys! The rest of the night went like that, dancing on each other then on random chicks they tried to seduce.. with their awesome dancing skillz? Hah! People watching is definitely one of the highlights to any event.
Other than that, just been livin' the dream. I have a wonderful job that I love, a spacious home that I've also fallen in love with, a loving family, a charming puppy, and a spectacular boyfriend. Life is goooooooddd.. Now to stop slacking and go to school. >.<

Lame things I often wonder about..
Let me just get to the point and say it, I often imagine what would happen if I got attacked by zombies at that particular moment. I have realized there are certain tasks that I preform that almost every time I do them this faux-zombie attack pops into my head.
1 - I am always concerned of opening and closing the garage door at night! I will turn to close the garage door and then I just imagine this rampaging zombie barreling for the garage door! Would it close in time? Would it be in the garage? What a horrible way to start a zombie apocalypse, I've already let them in the garage.
Though it wouldn't totally be my fault! No! It's those damn people that make the sensors for the garage door. It would be such a tense moment, watching it slowly close, wondering, will this fuckin' zombie trip that god damn sensor and get in this garage?!
2 - My second situation, has to do with me letting Kratos in. There are two scenarios in this one, usually when I am letting Kratos in I imagine this zombie just running about the backyard, and I see me just like screaming for Kratos to come inside while this zombie starts sprinting at me. Kyle says this is going to get me killed and I'm stupid, but I am confident that Kratos can outrun a zombie. He's a good boy! =D The other scenario letting Kratos inside triggers is I am already in the know that there are zombies outside and near the house but I notice that there are none in the backyard, yet. So I go to let Kratos in and yelling at him, and he doesn't listen right away and then it ends pretty closely to the first scenario. =P
3 -For some reason, whenever I go get the mail at work I always get another zombie related image in my head. So, I take the elvator to the basement, get the mail, and as I'm standing in the elevator about to go back up, waiting for the door to close, what if some raging zombie tries to get me in the elvator?! What if it doesn't close in time?! I'd be cornered in an elevator with mail! Ughh.. Not a cool way to go at all.
Ah well, there are other random moments where I often wonder about what if zombies attacked me right at this very moment, these ones just seem to be recurring. =P
Anyways, I is fail at updating. Whatevs.

Oh, how I love Texas in the winter.
I'm bad at updating.. I know.
Anyways, so it's December and I couldn't be happier. It's nice that I finally have my life under control and am happy with all aspects of it, besides missing my family up north of course. What I don't miss about Wisconsin is definitely the snow. I heard they got 14inches overnight up there about 2 days ago, when I heard the news I proceeded to do a little happy-dance because I DON'T HAVE TO SHOVEL SHIT! ^_^ Aaannd I'm able to take Kratos for a walk every morning without freezing my tits off.
Though an eensy weensy teensy part of me is going to miss the snow on Christmas. Shhhh... Don't tell! ;)
Haven't gotten to festive with decorations at the house, but oh man, did I go balls to the wall with decorations at work. I'll definitely post a picture of it sometime this weekend. It's epic and I'm proud. Other than that I've just been working on Christmas shopping, I've taken the easy way out this year and started ordering gifts online. It sure does beat fighting the mall crowd. Although there's this weird part of me that actually enjoys doing that as well. I can't wait to give Kyle his Christmas present! I think he's going to love it. I'll post pictures when I give it to him.
I just have to say it again...
I'm happy. I'm really, really happy.

Fauxhawk for a Day
So, the day before Kratos came home I had an interesting occurrence in the morning. I awoke from my slumber after hitting the snooze button about 3 times and grudgingly trudged into the bathroom, as I'm not a morning person. As I put my contacts in and regained the ability of sight I looked in the mirror only to be pleasantly surprised! I had woken up with an almost perfectly styled faux hawk! What luck! I had never been able to accomplish such a look on my own, but I didn't need to, my magical hair had chose my look for the day for me! So, instead of washing my hair that morning and ruining this miracle I decided to run with it and clean it up a bit.

Trick 'r Treat

This week my good friend Dez had made it a personal mission to get a hold of a movie we had seen trailers for called Trick 'r Treat. After doing some research we realized that the movie was originally scheduled to be released in October 2007 but had been pushed back for some reason and the film had been floating around on the indie circuit and film festivals for the past two years. Additionally, when Dez sought out to find the movie in the area it was sold out everywhere as well as out of stock on many sites online, thus sparking our interests even more. Halloween is already my favorite holiday and to have a Halloween themed movie sold out everywhere in the metroplex was too good for me to pass up. I now had to see this movie. Dez managed to find the movie at a Best Buy in Allen a few days ago and last night Dez, Kyle, and I sat down and watched it. I loved it, to say the least.
Trick 'r Treat, directed by Michael Dougherty, is a movie that follows four different, though related, Halloween Tales, all of which have tie-ins to the others stories throughout the movie. The stories themselves I found to be unique and interesting, and I also loved the paranormal aspects mixed in which was reminiscent of scary stories I would share with my friends as a kid. The opening of the movie had me sucked in almost instantly while a Halloween-loathing women is creatively murdered in her front lawn on Halloween night. The movie then proceeded to the opening credits , where pictures and scenes from the movie's own graphic novel were displayed in a very Repo: The Genetic Opera type fashion. (For all of those who have not seen Repo, I recommend you go take the time to watch it immediately, best goth opera you'll ever watch.) There are 4 main tales that Trick 'r Treat focuses on throughout the film, wikipedia lists the sections perfectly as: "The Principal", "The School Bus Massacre Revisited", "Surprise Party" and "Meet Sam", as well as a smaller story following the opening. Each is well constructed and told in the same fashion that Crash told it's different character stories. I really don't want to go too in depth into any of these tales because I don't want to ruin the mystery and the sparked curiosity of trying to figure out what's going on and what's going to happen next. There were many point
s in this movie where I felt I was genuinely in suspense or the movie had lead me to believe that an event was about to transpire, only to find out that my previous guess was wrong and surprising me once again. "What the fuck?!" was a popular phrase I found myself uttering a few times throughout the movie. If I say anything I'll say this much, Trick 'r Treat has no sympathy for children and has no problem killing them off just as brutally as any adult. Gore was definitely a strong theme throughout the film and maybe a bit over the top in some scenes, I loved it no less. Though at the same time, I am a fan of gore so my opinion is a bit biased. Ghosts and other Halloween-related beasts consumed the paranormal aspect, but I found it to be well executed and a treat for my imagination. My most favorite part of the movie was how well all the stories, including the short opening all tied into one another. After completing Trick 'r Treat I knew immediately that I must watch it again, not only for the fact that it's a fantastic movie but looking back I started to notice hints to the other story arche
s. I also really loved how this movie was all about the spirit of Halloween, ghost tales, Jack o' Lanterns, trick or treaters, Halloween candy, and things that go bump in the night. Though a bit cheesy in some points which, I expect from almost any horror movie, if you can look past it I found the movie to be very entertaining. I really loved the characters and the principal genuinely creeped me out. Trick 'r Treat has definitely intensified my Halloween spirit and I will be watching the movie at least once more this weekend if not more. I can also honestly say that it is probably in my top twenty favorite movies of all time. I recommend this movie to everyone especially those who like a good Halloween flick. As I said earlier there is also a graphic novel based on the movie, originally set to be released as 4 different books you can now find it all as one, along with the movie the graphic novel was also released this month. So go rent, buy, borrow or whatever you have to do to watch this movie. I know I will definitely be purchasing both the movie and eventually the graphic novel. Oh and yes my friends, the picture on the left is indeed Sookie (Anna Paquin). Happy Halloween!!With Affection

KRATOS IS HOME!
That's right ladies and gentleman! I now have my baby back and I'm feeling like my life couldn't get much better. -big grin-
Kratos started his long journey cross country in Green Bay, Wisconsin yesterday at 2:15pm, he then had a connecting flight in Chicago, Illinois. From there my puppins took the long flight all the way here to the Big D! Where I was there early to receive him from the American Airlines Cargo people at about 7:30pm with my Mother.
We then proceeded to drive home from the airport in my Mom's Chevy Tahoe, Kratos decided that the back seat was no place for him so, as per usual, him and I shared shotgun. =)
Got him back to the new house safe and sound (which I will post pictures of soon, I'm lazy) he then eagerly explored his new domain and back yard. Then proceeded to follow me around the entire night with a big, happy, doggy smile on his face. There were a few moments in the evening when he looked at me with his big eyes, mouth open, tongue hanging out, that I knew that he approved of the new home and was glad to see me again.
We took a walk and explored the new neighborhood this morning, which I have yet to do on my own, but it was nice to have a companion in the adventure as we became familiar with streets and where they turned and lead out to.
As of right now Kratos is lying at my feet taking a nap.
A few things I did not miss about Kratos:
-Shedding -- This dog sheds like crazy. He's blowing out a coat right now like you wouldn't believe so thus I have to begin harvesting tufts of hair off him before they settle on my new carpet.
-Muddy Dog Feet -- Our backyard does not have the best water drainage for rain, so we have many muddy spots back there at the moment, and Kratos is continually tracking in mud despite my efforts of wiping his feet off when he comes inside. Which he disproves of foot wiping to begin with.
I'm glowing with how great my life is turning out to be.

Moving = Hell
So, have I yet mentioned how much I hate moving? I literally loathe moving with all my being. I decided to take a tally of how many times I've moved in my life since I was a child. Now, before I reveal my results let me give you the low down on what I counted. I counted any time I had to pack up all my shit and move it to a different location, may not be a new location but a different one. On to my point.. How many times has Korri Kopsi moved in her lifetime thus far?
Drum roll, please...
22
I have moved 22 times in the span of the 21 years I've been alive. That's equivalent to once a year for every year that I've been alive +1. It's absolutely ridiculous in my opinion, and to be honest I'm really sick of packing and unpacking for that matter.
Anyways, the move went as smooth as it would allow itself to be. In my opinion, everyone kind of jumped the gun and tried to get in too soon because the electricity didn't get turned on until the 1st and we had practically everything moved in on the 30th. Kyle and I had to make due with sleeping on the futon mattress at the apartment for a night, which was uncomfortable because the two of us are much to tall for such puny sleeping contraptions. Then yesterday I packed up the rest of my necessities and moved them over to the house as well.
On another note, I love the house. I'm still basking in the glory of having all this space actually being my own, and let me tell ya, my bathroom is the fuckin' shit. I will be posting pictures and hopefully a video walk through hosted by yours truly.
